wrongfully accused
A young man that I know whom is severly mentally ill. was standing in front of store one day. The owner called the policesaid he was begging for money. Police took him to jail for lottering. later that day he was taken too another precint. there he was told he was part of a gang and that he had murdered someone and wounded another individual three years proir. he had no idea what the detectives were talking about. he was interigated for hours no medication was given to him and he was told they wanted a confession the next morning. his mom was not allowed to see him he had not been given any medications. His mother repeatly ask when this happen? detectives refuse to give her a date of the incident. They were trying hard to get a confession out of him so that they could close a 3 year old case.once they got what they needed from a judge. they finally told her of the date of the incident.fortunately for him he was in a state mental hospital for treatment. His case worker got involved went to the hospital and got his records took them to the precinct and ask them to please look at these he was in the hospital. they did not care to look so she opened his file and put it in the face of one the detectives and then another and another. they could not admit they had made a very bad choice. his mother was then told by one of the detectives well we are going to drop charges for now. This does not mean we can't arrest him later. can you believe this? How can they arrest him later for what being mentally ill? Can a civil suit be filed against these criminals with a badge?
