Default workmans comp/hippa personal injury

I was injured on the job 2/23/10. I went to physician on 2/24/10. Dr diagnoticed a hernia and sprained back. Perscribed pain medication and no work unti 3/1/2010. Employer had me go to 2nd dr. 2/25/10 because of wormans comp. Had to go with a supv. I was in pain and drove 50 miles to meet supv and was taken to the dr. 2nd doctor found same result as first. I was asked by supv. prior to see if I could get released from first dr. orders to return to work on the 25th. I fearful of the implication asked. @nd dr refused, wrote dow not to return to work until 3/1/10 at light duty.

I gave note to supv. He called his supv/safety director. He was told to go talk to the dr himself. He went and spoke with the dr without me. I do not know what was said, but i got new dr. orders letting me return to work on 25th at light duty. I asked him how can I return to duty when the medication from the first doctor ( a narcotic) knocks me out. I was told by supv not to take while at work. The supv was just doing what he was told. He told me that work loss days hurt our region. Can an employer inteferre like that with the doctors orders? The company is more worried they will look bad on a report than my health. I had no intention to file a claim anyway.

Mississippi. I spoke to the MS Workmans comp and was told it violated Hippa, maybe FMLA, and MS workmans comp. But looking for second opinion

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
