Default Questions

Hello I am an aspiring lawyer and though I am very young I am not one to allow time go by as I remain idle and oblivious to what I want to do in my life. I know that I want to deal with law but I'm not 100% sure if I want to be a lawyer- more or less 75%. I want to know what education is needed to become a lawyer; meaning if I take 2 years of law school will I be fit to find a prominent job? Also what is the income of a lawyer and does it depend on cases? I ask this because I know of some lawyers who never see the inside of a court room. With these lawyers- what exactly is it they do in their offices? As well what do paralegals and law clerks do and what is their income? And finally what about corporate law? I think I want to be in this field but since it deals with bug corporations- what background is needed?

I live in Alabama, was working in N.Carolina, company office in Florida. I have been on WC now for 15 months. They say I am being ruled under Florida W/C laws.

I have a 7 percent disability rating. I am at maximum improvement.

The company I worked for is out of business and I am not having any luck getting a job. Can't get a job I was doing because of my knee.

What's next?
They are offering settlement but no figures have been offered?

My doctor never measured my range of motion, ever!!!
According to the charts for Florida, 120 degrees = 10percent

I can't hit 120 degrees.

What to do?

I can understand that this is a frustrating situation for you. I would suggest that you speak with an attorney to discuss your legal options since every state has different laws regarding this. You can locate one through the attorney locator on Lawinfo's home page at http://www.lawinfo.com/. Some do offer free consultations.
