Workers Compensation
I work for a Child Care Center. I have been working there for five years. For the last two years I have been the Assistant Director my hours were 6am to 3pm until I broke my wrist on a job related outting with the children and was on Worker Compensation for six months. Upon my return to work my boss took my position and my shift away from me. Now I work from 12 noon to 8pm I have more seniority then anyone there except for the cook. My boss is acting like I broke my wrist on purpose. My question is do my boss have the right to do that to me? Do the same rules that the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) apply. What is the purpose of working on a job and getting a position just to have it taken away from you I did'nt break my wrist purposely why should I have to start over? Please can you help me answer answer this question? I am so depressed I can't quit and my age makes it a little harder competing in the job field. Thank-you in advance for your time answering my question.
