Only if you obey him. Your options are:

(a) move when he's not there, or

(b) leave your stuff behind and sue dad in court and get the court to order that your items be made available to you, or

(c) you can get a handful of friends and a couple of vehicles or a U-Haul, gather everyone together like at a local convenience store or other public place, then call your local law enforcement and ask them to escort you to the house and to stand by while you move like the wind (police will generally show up in an attempt to keep the peace, but they don't have the time and manpower to stay there all day while you move - if you want to request a police standby, be prepared with plenty of hands and places to put your stuff so you can get ALL of your stuff out quickly). Sounds like your dad has a lot of wishful thinking, but very little lega leg to stand on.

If dad objects to anything that's being taken, police will GENERALLY tell take to keep track of everything he questions, and to take YOU to court - where the burden would be on HIM to prove it belongs to him (and that's much harder than it sounds...most parents don't keep receipts for everything they've bought their kids).

For what it's worth, my mom tried to do the same thing - very unsuccessfully, I might add.

I agree. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
