Default Window Tint Citation - I've been lied to.

May 27th, I got a citation for illegal window tinting. My court date was set for June 21 or something right? Well I called about a week or 2 before hand and asked if I could get the date extended because I didn't have any money, and the guy I talked to said "yeah, we'll do that". That butthole never did anything and so now I don't get a fair trial, and on top of that there was an arrest warrant out for me... I found this out yesterday when I called from work to try to sort out the problem of the court date... I wasn't clocked in for 5 minutes before they had traced the number and had the cops there to arrest me!

Now I have a record, and it says "failure to appear" all because someone lied to me and I hope he dies a very painful death and very soon... after he's been, humiliated, tortured and mutilated. What do I do? Matt, my husband is going to talk to the judge and see if he can't get my record sealed or erased... I'm personally going looking for the jerk who lied to me and I'm going to have something to say to that worthless excuse for a life.

I got a mug shot, and spent about 5 minutes in a holding cell till my mother in-law could bring $200.00 for failure to appear and $79.80 for the citation to the police dept. My boss was trying to defend me when they showed up... everyone at work understands.

What can I do to get a fair trial? I wanted to fight the ticket on the baisis that the car IS a show car. I was done wrong and I want justice!

You always need to get these things in writing. You may want to speak with an attorney to discuss your options. I am surprised you were arrested just for a window tinting citiation. You can locate one through the attorney locator on Lawinfo's home page at http://www.lawinfo.com/. Some do offer free consultations.
