Default WFAF trying to repo I m trying to sell it OPTIONS?

I purchased a 2003 buick regal several years ago in SD. I live in Colorado now though currently in Texas looking for work. I have been unemployed since june 09 with no unemployment benefit s. Friends and family have been able to help but now I have run out of options I m currently behind on the note 90 day s I owe $10,000 and the interest has been jacked up to 17% (ouch I know)
I have taken the car to dealers and they don't want it or have given me $1,000 or $ 2,100 offer s I currently have some people looking at the vehicle with an offer of $ 4,000 But Wells Fargo Auto Finance isn t working with me I DO NOT want a repo what are my right s and is a settlement / charge off as bad as a repo? Any help is appreciated I truely just want to get this taken care of in a decent respectful way for both of use I m not trying to get out of anything

Either way it is going to be a hit to your credit. You can try a voluntary repo with an agreement for what is still owed. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
