I'm a California resident who will be launching a website soon, and wanted to know if I need to form a business with the state. This will be a side (exploratory) job, so-to-speak. The website itself will allow visitors to place orders with me, but the orders will be fulfilled from a drop-shipping company in Florida.

What does this mean as far as CA law? Do I need to form an LLC (or whatever), or can I operate as an individual?
