Default Voluntary Relinquishment of Parental rights

I have a 14 year old daughter who has been doing drugs, smoking, prostitution in our home, sex with boyfriend, cutting self, starving/gorging behavior, lying continually, threatened us with a knife, etc. She has been doing this since age 12. We have had her to councilors and Psychiatrists for the last two years without success. Currently she is in a behavior modification program which she is doing very poorly in. she was adopted by us at age 21 months. The cost of her care is bankrupting my wife and I. We have tried getting help from our insurance company, DSHS and the police. She needs to continue her inpatient treatment for Reactive Attachment Disorder if she is going to have a chance at healing. The only way we can see that this can be done is if we relinquish our rights and turn her over to the state. We have mortgaged our home, cashed in the retirement accounts and her college fund. If anyone know of any help or how we can relinquish rights in Washington state please reply.

This is a tipical problem with adoptions. No one knows how a child so young can determine who their "real mother" is. I am not an advocate of adoption as it tears families apart and eventually leads to relatives unknowingly getting married and thus children with mental problems. There are several adoption groups who might be of some assistance. I feel the last thing you should do is give up on the child. I don't know about you but I would give my life for mine !!!
