Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

I would advise him to apply for citizenship. I work with a young lady who has been here for a while, she studied, I helped her prep for the test and she went down to become a Naturalized Citizen. She seemed to think this was a good way to handle it. The questions weren't hard, so with your help I think he would be able to pass and then you could get married quick easy and without problems. This is just my point of view and a little of my own experience with someone who wanted to be here, I hope this helps and that you can find a way to make this work for you inside the U.S. laws.
