Urgent Car Loan Question
My husband is having some visa issues ans is currently in a detention facility. So obviously he has no income at this point and we do not know when he is coming out of there.
My main concern is the car loan - it is legally signed by my husband and i am not a co-buyer or co-signer.
I am okay with giving up the car, because literally cannot afford to pay it and it is realy pulling a lot of money.
in that case car will be repossessed and sold on the wholesale auction by the bank and the buyer will be responsible for the difference between actual remaining loan balance and wholesale price (i expect it to be no less then 4 000)
I literally do not have these money - so what are my options?
should i contact the bank about this issue and will they be able to work some payment options for me?
Will i need a power of attorney to take care of these things while my husband physically cannot, or not necessarily?
plus - can bank legally harrass ME with payments if i am NOT a buyer and did not sign any papers, but because of a fact that i am the buyer's wife?
Thanks for the advise
