My wife just quit her job at a local nail shop where she was manager. When she told her boss that she wanted to take some time off and spend some time with our daughter her boss flipped out so my wife decided that she was just not going to come back at all. and explained this to her boss. Since my wife was manager she had a set of keys to the doors and register which she told her boss that she was going to stop by the shop and drop off later that day, her boss told her not to worry that she did not want my wife to step foot back in her shop and that she was going to have the locks changed.So my wife just received her last check in the mail and her boss deducted $502 for "lock change", $25 "Damages"' and $45 "misc" none of which we ever saw any kind of receipt for. We are wanting to take her to small claims court but i am not sure if we will have much of a case or even how to fight this...PLEASE HELP.....

I can certainly understand this is a frustrating situation for you. You need to contact your local labor board.
