Unauthorized Entry
Relevant lease clauses:
Access: Lessor or Lessor's Agent may enter the Premises at any reasonable time, with reasonable notice, for the purpose of inspecting the Premises to assure compliance with the Lease or to do necessary repairs. Lessee shall be notified prior to entry and shall not refuse Lessor's or Agent's reasonable request.
Notices: Notice to Lessor shall be nade at the address set forth in section 2. Notice to Lessee shall be at the Premises.
No mention of locks.
1) If the landlord enters this apartment without notice for a non-emergency reason, what recourse does the tenant have? What impact does the landlord's action have on the lease?
2) Can the tenant change the locks? If no but the tenant does anyway, what are the potential consequences?
