trustee liability

I am the trustee of a trust that owns a piece of real estate. I was recently cited by the building inspection dept of a city concerning an issue with the building. Since I was personally cited and not the trust can I have this dismissed and how do I go about it. Any case law concerning this would be helpful.
I think items concerning the veil of corporate liability come into play?

If you are the Trustee of the trust, you are the legal owner of the real estate for the benefit of the beneficiaries of the trust. You should have been cited as "Popeye01, as Trustee." Rather than a dismissal of the case, the proper outcome is likely for the court to allow the city to amend its citation to reflect that you are being cited as Trustee rather than in your individual capacity.
