I have transmitted money to travel agent account on 25th of July,2011 and we were planning to fly on September 1,2011. He has sent false itineraries but never confirmed our tickets. Almost, one and half week before we want to fly outside of U.S. I called the airline to check baggage and weight policy I came to know that our tickets are not confirmed. I called my travel agent and he didn’t pick my call. I called 10 time on his cell and 10 times at his work but no response. I have sent him so many emails and no reply. I called his office again and this new travel agent said, no issue we will do it today. I sent this new travel agent follow-up email every 2 hours asking the status. Around 5 o`clock he said everything is good and I got relax. Next day I called DELTA and international airline P.1.A and guess what nothing was confirmed. He sent us false itinerary. I started giving him a call and also the 1st agent whom we gave money 1 month back. They all put us my family with all the tension because we are flying with 20 months old , who needs immunization if we are going outside of U.S. & top of it my wife and I were fasting. Because it is our fasting month ( Ramadan). The travel agent put us through lots of tension. Now I have sent him to refund my money back, first he didn’t response for two days. I called him and his 2nd travel agent said he is busy. I again, sent him email and he said he will look in to matter and will respond to me. ( Although, he knows what he has done). I again sent him follow-up emails and no reply. I have sent him final email saying , if you are not refunding my $money$. I am taking this matter to consumer court. He replied and said, his company is in financial crisis and he can’t refund me. He offered me to buy ticket in future. ( I cant to do that what he has done to me and my family at first place). Then he offered me that he will refund $500 each month that means I have to chase him for 8 months.

I was so nice to him & now he is getting advantage and he is not afraid at all. I thought, it should be quick fix in this country. I want see him getting penalized what he did as well as want to sue him to give us mental stress and tension.

Let me know what are my options here. BTW his business is NYC.
