Default What is the timeframe for a lump sum?

Default How Long

It is the most common question and the second most difficult to answer without more information.

What state do you live in, what insurance company makes the payments, and what paperwork do you have available? Annuity policy, settlement policy, etc.

State laws vary slightly on time frames required for document preparation and available court dates.
Other factors are the insurance company and YOU. Getting us all the information we need, signing and returning paperwork, getting legal advice where required in a timely manner...

So all that being said, it could be a matter of a few weeks or a few months. Best to get specific information by calling in with your details and speaking to a customer service rep.
