My apartment was burglarized in 2003 by an adult and a 16 year old boy. The adult was sent to prison for two years and the boy received intensive supervision and five years probation. My family received no financial restitution for the property that was not recovered. I just recently found out the address where the boy's parents reside. to Small Claims Court to try to recover at least half of the cost of the stolen property that was never recovered? Am I correct in my belief that the boy's parents can be held responsible for the debt since it was committed when the boy was 16? Please help me. Thanks.
