I have a friend whose daughter is 14 and being served a subpena for a trial in another state as a witness for the DA. Her mother does not want her to go to the trial and either does the daughter because she is afraid and does not know the guy that is being charged. She has never seen him before. The DA will not leave them alone. My question is does the daught have to honor the subpena and what will happen if she does not show up? How can the daughter get out of this mess? Who does she need to contact since the DA will not listen?
