My student loan is over 30 years old. VAN RU Credit Corp. (contracted by the US Dept. of Education) is garnishing my Social Security Check for this debt. On top of this they keep harassing me by phone (at work and at home) approx. every three days to send them more money and threaten to garnish my part time wages as well (which is minumim wage scales)! I'm 63 yrs old now and just can't afford all of their demand. What is my recourse on their harassement? I understand my Social Security check can be attached but I'm pressured for more..more..& more!!!
