I got my first DUI back in 1997 and my 2nd in 2000. I pled guilty and was sentenced to 5 days jail time and a 4 month suspension of my license. After the 4 months passed, I was eligible to have my license reinstated if I completed a DUI class, had a clinical evaluation, installed an interlock device on my vehicle and attended a 16 week substance awareness course.

I have not had a driver's license since May 2000, at which time I surrendered my license upon my conviction. My question is this: Is there not some sort of statute of limitations provision that will allow me an easier way to reinstate my license being that this all happened almost 9 years ago?
