Default SSI Questions!

Hello i had a question about SSI benefits. I am an adult who has had ADHD and ODD since I was a young child and I take medication for it. I have tried just about every medication there is for ADHD and ODD and currently am on Adderall(amphetamine salts) and Guanfacine(Tenex) and these have worked the best for me. But the problem is they are not consistent in their effects the effect varies from day to day and this creates an enormous obsticale. With these drugs not working in the same way on a consistant level it makes it difficult to keep a job and now with the economy the way it is I cant even get one to try to keep. Me and my wife just had a child which provided some severe medical problems for my wife which was preclamsya(not sure if thats how its spelled) hich happened after she gave birth and caused her blood pressure to spike up to 250/140 or somewhere around there and she ran out her FMLA at her work and was let go and is still not able to work. With this situation now putting my family in a financial disaster is there any way I could qualify for SSI? I have all the documentations of my ADHD and ODD from therapists and doctors since I was around 5 years old.

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

Sounds like you have been through hell and back! You have a number of options, which may include employer benefits. If you wish to continue this discussion, please post a message. Best Wishes!
