Default Sprint PCS

I called Sprint on June 8 2011 to cancel my service and after 45 grueling minutes i was transferred to someone who was supposed to do a survey and during the survey the person ntold me that if I wanted to keep my number I could port it with the carrier I am moving to. Before we got off the call I NEVER said I wanted to continue servicewith Sprint but they continued blling me and left the line open. When I rtied to have a Best buy rep port the number he said Sprint owned the number and tahty they could not do it so i got a new number.

Today August 26 2011, I called to find out why the number is still active and they said they did so because I was going to port the number, I complained that I was told of the porting option but I was not told that they would continue service and the 'escallation officer' said I had to pay the bill. My question is - Is there a legal office where I can send the paperwork to because she did not give me that information and said she could not

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
