Default Small claims/ stolen property advice?

ok so i'm not sure if this is the right category, i've looked for small claims but was unsucsessful. i need advice about a small claims suit concerning stolen property. my daugher had an i pod stolen out of our house by a friend about 6 months ago. it was stolen by the same person that sold it to her and i need to know what to do about it. he was not invited into our home and we did not know he had entered, so would that be breaking and entering as well?

Actually, the Criminal Law section is the correct category, since your situation involves a theft of personal property. But, anyway, how did the person enter your home to steal the Ipod, and how do you know he stole it?

Malibu Barbie is correct, this should be under criminal law. Have you spoken to the district attorney or prosecuting attorney in your area or the police?
