I need advice as to what our rights are if any. We'll start from the beginning. June 2005 my sister inlaw and niece were murdered. @ of the surviving children went to their father our other surviving nice has been in foster care since with a custody battle lasting this whole time. We have not become involved legally as we have 4 of our own children to care for and the legal costs for this were huge for everyone involved. Now to our problem from the very beginning it has been thrown up several times that our children have been abused ok so we let this go because it's not true and people will throw dirt when desperate. This last round once again our names appeared in an attorneys questionaire from one of the opposing people filing for custody. Keep in mind my husband and i have not been involved at all. The question was about my childrens behavior being sexual in nature and how often has this behavior been noticed. I am highly infuriated upset and can't believe a family meber little alone an attorney has the gull to ask this kind of question. And this is not the first time it is being documented in court files. I am mentally drained and don't know what my rights are regarding these people and these attorneys for even bringing up a false statement like this could someone please advise as to what our rights are in this matter.
