Hi Looking for more information on how to proceed.. I am a small business owner(FL) that has been taken advantage of by a lawyer.. I have a signed contract and completed a the job to the customers satisfaction after complete walkthrough. A check was written for over $2000 and deposited in bank. Customer calls the following day complaining about the "price" then proceeded to stop payment on check. After contacting her to notify of the stop payment she agreed to leave a new check at her place of employment. No check just a list stating that NOW all these things were not done to his/her satisfaction and she would be consulting with her fellow lawyers.. What is the better scenario: *Try and collect through agency lawyer or civil court? *Wait the six months until stop payment order runs out?
