If we sell property in North Carolina but we are legal residents of North Carolina is there any tax penalty? Some one told us we had to pay more if we were not residents of S.C. Also what constitutes legal residency? Thanks

I put in the wrong state...I meant to say if we are residents of N.C. and we own property in S.C. and we sell it is there an additional tax for not living on the property?

well i have same problem like the above as i want to sell some property in North Carolina and i am resident of some other place will you please tell me the procedures as i am a kid in the property and law matters and thats why i know nothing about that
