(Illinois) I have a boyfriend who pled guilty to a robbery along with three other guys my boyfriend got 10 years and another guy got 10 years and another got 8 years and one got probation this is my boyfriends first adult case and the guy who got eight years also his first adult case and the other guy who got ten years this is his second case and his first case as an adult was a burglary is it wrong that my boyfriend got 10 years like him instead of 8 years like the other guy if so is there any way his time could be reduced to 8 years he has been in jail for 2 years now and he has had good behavior and has been even moved to a work camp in the last month

The judge isn't required to sentence each defendant to the same sentence, even when all of them participated in the same crime. The DA could have made different offers, and, the role that each person played in the robbery can also influence the sentence.
