Unhappy The rights of a step-dad in Idaho

I am a newly married man, my new wife has 3 daughters 2 with one father and one with another. The problem I am having is that I love and care about these kids as if they were my own. The father doesn't contribute, either with money or any other kind of support. I have step up and step in, I drive them to appointments, help with homework and we go on outings, and even give them an allowance. Now the Father is telling me to stop giving them the allowance, and that we can no longer do outings, vacations and the like, because it makes him look bad! What do I or should I do?

This is an issue for your wife and the father to deal with. Unless you are taking vacations with them without their mother I am not seeing an issue. Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.

Don't be bothered if you are doing the right thing or talked to the guy and explain your side. Honestly, he should be happy because your a nice person and you love his kids. That's unconditional love!
