Default retaliation from management

I've worked as a nurse for a major hospital for 25 years. I had a write up for two med errors in 1985, my first year of nursing. In 1998 I was written up for a customer service complaint. Other than the two previous mentions, I have a stellar record. I was voted Nurse of the Year for my unit, in 2008. 2009 hasn't been quite so good. Earlier this year I made an anonymous complaint to an outside agency, about a couple of the Head Nurses cronies. They were abandoning their patient assignments and leaving the hospital grounds. The nurses got suspended for their action. I can only assume that my Head Nurse found out it was me who complained, because my nursing life has been hell since. I have had 3 meetings with my Head Nurse and Human Resources, since August. I have never had any meetings before this year with Human Resources. The first two regarded a complaint from my peers about my personality. I received a written warning. The latest regards a totally bogus accusation. I believe since I've filed a complaint with Human Resources, the matter will be dropped, but I still don't know for sure. Another example of retaliation is having my personal family photographs vandalized on my locker. One defaced a picture of me, the other was placing a rainbow over my gay daughters prom picture. The incident involving my daughter's picture hurt terribly. An example of unequal disciplinary action is, me being brought in for a meeting with Human Resources on a bogus claim, vs. me writing up two nurses for signing off on medication that was expired on a code cart (I have copies of the sign off sheet, and med labels). The Ast Head Nurse, and Head Nurse, covered up the incident, with an explanation that the meds really weren't expired according to the pharmacy. My point is so what they really weren't expired, the nurses that signed off on them didn't know that. The labels said they were expired. I don't see this internal investigation being very productive for me. I believe the EEOC is where I will be. Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you

If the unequal treatment is due to your belong to protected class thats actionable. Providing theres proof. The criminal act as well requires proof. This means someone saw or there is video evidence

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
