My wife and I received a summons and complaint from Bank of America's legal team for "Refomation of Mortgage". They want my wife's name added to the mortgage. We are in default of the terms of the mortgage. I'm thinking that since Michigan is a "tenants by the entirety" state, they want my wife's name on so they can proceed with foreclosure. It was never our(my wife and I) intention for her to apply for the mortgage loan or be put on the mortgage. Do I have a legal foot to stand on? I never would have done any research on this had they not sued us. Thank you in advance for any help provided.
