We own a lot which has not yet been built on. Someone has purchased the adjacent lot and contacted us about buying our lot. We went out to the property and they already have their house up. It's not finished but is framed. It certainly looks to us like perhaps a corner of their house is on our property. If not then it certainly is not set back 10 feet from the property line which is the rule. I suppose the first thing we should do is have a survey done; would this be correct? Can anyone tell us what our options are and/or give some advice as to steps to take?
