Default Re-posted for "jenniesue"

I had dental work done in 1999 and the dentist did not remove the complete root. I have since had many many problems and visisted him on four different occasions where he gave me four different explanations but never corrected the situation. I spoke with a lawyer and they said that the statue of limitations had expired and there was nothing that I could do. Is there an alternate route that I can take and if so can you make a suggestion for what I need to do. Thank you in advance.

Default Dental Malpractice

It does appear that the statute has run. However you can contact the Agency for Health Care Administation AHCA in Tallahassee and obtain a copy of their complaint form. They govern and regulate all doctors and dentists in the State of Florida and are required to investigate all compliants filed against any physician practicing in the State of Florida. You may be able to download a compliant on their website. This might push the Dentist to do the right thing. Good Luck. Tami Wolfe JonesandWolfe.com

Default dental work

Hi Jenniesue: I am sorry for your dental problems. The American Dental Association through most of their state organizations will review complaints along with your dental records and examine your teeth and if they agree that substandard care was provided they will arrange for reimbursement or partial reimbursement of the services provided. The Florida Dental Association can be reached as follows: 1111 E. Tennessee St. Ste. 102 Tallahassee FL 32308-6913 Phone (850) 681-3629 Fax (850) 561-0504 E-Mail fda@floridadental.org Internet Site www.floridadental.org Contact Mr. Daniel J. Buker I hope this is helpful to you and wish you good luck.
