A Question Concerning Nondiclosure Agreement
If there is anyone here who happens to know anything about Intellectual Property rights and related subjects, I would sure like an answer to a question I have.
I'll be brief:
A compnay I used to work for is trying to sue me because it claims (falsely) that when I left them, I took work I had developed as an Independent Contractor.
This made me dig up my old"contract" with them and I discovered two things:
Firstly, after reading a Nolo book, I never formally signed over copyright of my work to them;
Secondly, the "contract" is a Nondisclosure and Restricted Use agreement. Does that count as a contract?
Also I noticed that a mistake has been made on the agreement that states that the company has made the agreement with themselves. Basically it says that the agreement is made between "Company Name" and "Company Director". But I did sign it.
So is this agreement legal?
Thanks for any and all help.
Paul.
