Question concerning drug screen at work
Question: I currently work for the government. I currently take muscle building supplements (prohormones) that I order through a legitimate online retailer. The supplements that I take are currently legal, as of now. However over the past few years the FDA/DEA have been creating more stringent policies (The Ban of prohormones in 2005). I monitor which ones are legal. I know that during drug tests they test for: THC,COC,PCP,AMP, METH, OPI. My question: If my government employer suspected me of using steroids and subjected me to a drug screen to specifically test for steroids and I told them I was using prohormones, which I could legally buy from a legitimate retailer, could they take disciplinary action to include termination if I produced a positive test result, even though the product can be legally purchased.
