Default Pro Se Petitioner (quick question)

I have filed, Pro Se, a Motion to Modify the PCR (with the District Court in Dallas where the Divorce decree was filed). The Respondant has been served already. My question is, do I need to have the Notice of Hearing Date served officially (ie: process server), or will I be able to send it First Class mail, return receipt requested? The hearing date was originally set for September 14th, but is being rescheduled due to delays related to my moving out of state. I'm hoping to not have to hire a civil process server to serve the Notice of Hearing Date. I can't afford an attorney now that I've dumped around $18k into this ongoing case over the past 5 years. I would appreciate any advice about this step!

Thank you!

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
