I purchased a truck from a private party. The truck ran smoothly at the seller's house. A bill of sale was provided stating truck sold "as is". Everything at this point is fine. I drove one mile to a gas station. Filled up with gas and started the truck. At this point a very loud bang was heard from the motor.Two gas station employees heard this . I contacted the seller. Advised him as to what happened. I asked for my money back. Seller refused to refund any or all of the funds. I was stuck with towing a broken truck over 200 miles home. I am now looking at $2,500 for a replacement motor installed. I would like to find out what laws protect buyers of private vehicles in the State of New Hampshire. My intention is to take the seller to small claims court. I want to have the best chance of winning. Please advise.
