I was wondering if it would be better off for me to file bankrucpty ( I have over $13,000 doctor bills, collections, repossession, etc) or would it be better for us to sign a prenuptial stating that our debt prior to marriage is our own debt and anything we acquire while married is together?

Also, I have student loans and will continue to have those, as I am going for my bachelor's now but working toward a master's degree.

My fiance only has approximately $1000 in debt, but he's paying that off with this tax returns in the next couple of months. Please advise me on what you think our best option(s) would be? Thanks.
