I was 39 wks. pregnant. I woke up thinking I was having conntractions.It was really a placental abruption. I didn't know till it was to late but when I woke up on Wed. morning I thought I was having contractions but they didn't go away so the baby's father took me to the emergency room. When we got there I felt like I was going to pass out and I was having very bad hot flashes. Before I got any treatment I had to fill out paperwork. when I finally got treatment none of the machines (heartbeat monitor for baby;etc) wouldn't work. Then my family doctor came with his own device and couldn't find a heartbeat for the baby so he called down for the ultrasound machine. He couldn't get it right away and he told them a couple times he needs it right away. He needed so if he seen any sign of a heartbeat we could go for an emergency c-section. He didn't find and sign. But they thought it might be my placenta and I was bleeding internally. I ended up losing 3 pints of blood. After my c-section I had to have a blood transfusion. When they put the needle in I noticed it was hurting and my arm was starting to bruise bad. So I told the nurses and it took about 3 or 4 nurses to get the needle back in my arm. My whole arm ended up bruising very badly. I have pictures. I was just wondering if you think I have a case? I didn't get immediate treatment when I went to the emergency room the machines that wouldn't work and my arm being so badly bruised.
