Question preference, eviction, f.h.a

Kansas

I been in my apt for 9 years. This is my 9th site manager. I don't like her and she don't like me. This woman is determined to get me out. She's writin me up for anything she can, using 2 year old evidence, companion pet not on leash etc.

To make a long story short, me and another neighbor found ourselves in similar situation. She had asked for a payment plan to pay may 2010 rent. Well she got it. This manager screwed up on her 3 day demand letter. Not on the note itself, but I got a note the next day referring to the 3 day demand but it had different dates on it. But before the 3 days expired, I asked if I could have a payment plan. 6 days later I got a 30 day eviction. yay me!! I knew she screwd up giving the neighbor special treatment. She just got to acting too cocky and screwed up.

Well much to my surprise I finally read the fair housing act. I know I felt pretty stupid not checkin it out before now. My son has severe autism where mine is emotional. None the less I requested a payment plan as a reasonable accommodation on both our behalves, my other son is just stuck in the middle.

Question : if I get this accommodation, catch up the bills....can I still sue this witch for not giving me an equal opportunity to save my home of 9 years? Do I forfeit that option by asking for the accommodation? I've had enough these new managers comin in crackin whips n changing the rules so we never know what's goin on. These people upset me so much that I won't step out my door if they r here. And that means my kids have to stay in too. I go into panic attacks and pretty much barricade us in. Its rediculous. The world is hard enough, someones gotta see if they can push a lil further

So someone plz tell me if I can sue her accommodation or not. I don't want to move, it would literally be too much. I got my sons' iep's, my other son has weekly visits with his dad. I have too much vested in this town and its real small (one traffic light....no lie). Smaller don't mean easier. So if anybody can give me a heads up, I'd really appreciate it

Thanks!

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
