I am relatively new to the rules of the United States and need your help on this.

I have a car which is in El Paso, Tx. Right now I live in Austin, Tx. I want that car to be sold by one of my friend. But the problem is the car is on my name and I need to be sign the papers which I cannot do. So I was thinking of giving power of attorney to my friend who lives in El Paso. On researching the Internet I found lot of ambiguity in dealing with power of attorneys. So was hoping if I could find out how do I give the power of attorney to my friend for selling this car? Please let me know. Thanks in advance. Your help is really appreciated. I have seen an another person's post similar to this but the situation is totally different. Please advise.
