Political pull in a custody battle
I'm a working mother of two an 8yr. old son and 2yr. old daughter, going through my second divorce one child from each marriage. My second marriage, I married and had a child with a man who comes from a family of a long line of law enforcement background. He also was a police office of 6yrs. with a bad employment history and his father is a retired La. state trooper of 29 1/2 years and now the father works for their home town S.O. We went to court Monday for custody for my two yr. old daughter he won custody of course. The judge said it was because of his support system(Money, stroke, pull) whatever. My husband is unemployed, drawing S.S. and in school full time for criminal justice. He lives in a home and drives a truck that is provide by his parents. I have been completely on my own for 5 months when it come to porviding for my family. I have been the primary care giver of both of my children since birth. Is it possibile to have my case retried in a different parish or any place other than his families home town. I think that there is a political issue going on in my case and I believe that this was a unfair judgement, to take a lil girl from her mother. I received one day a week and every other weekend with my daughter. I have full custody of my son whom I've been raising on my own. Someone out there has to know what I can do and please don't say apeal because it's almost imposibile to win that in this case. PLEASE HELP or give some damn good advice.
Yours Truly,
Lost mother
