Every state has different laws regarding this. You may want to speak with an attorney. You can locate one through the attorney locator on Lawinfo's home page at http://www.lawinfo.com/. Some do offer free consultations.

thanks for the QUICK reply.

I will have an attorney looking into it Tuesday, he's retired but has been private practice, a judge AND a D.A. here locally, so I'm pretty sure that he'll be able to "fill me in".

being in Alaska, I'm totally aware that state laws differ in regards to certain aspects, again THANKS for the quick reply.

regards,

Steve

Default Re:

hi,

Your Last Will and Testament

A Will is a legal document that expresses your desires as to how your assets should be distributed at the time of your death. It must represent your wishes and desires, not someone else’s desires.

The term “testament” under the English law referred to the disposition of personal property. The Will now covers both real and personal property. However, the non-legal definition of a testament is “an expression of a conviction.”

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
