Default Performance Agreement

ok, so im a rapper and i signed up for this show coming to my area and i signed this contract and this guy is talking about suing me.. does he have a case.. heres the contract


can he sue me for $375 if i dont play??
please help me..




Performance agreement
THIS PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of july 1, 2010, by and between__me__(performer) and ___him(promoter) to hold responsibility of promotion and ticket sales for performance on august 20th 2010. in consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained and, intending to be legally bound hereby, the performer and contract holder agree as follows

1. engagement. the promoter hereby engages performer to render a musical performance and the performer hereby agrees to render such performance under the terms and conditions specified herein

3. Agreement. Performer must sell a minimum of 25 tickets and in return will receive a 15 minute set as support for the dead for life show. Performer is responsible for turning in the minimum of $375 before doors open on the show date

4. Location of Performance. The Performance will take place at the following location

5. date and time... the performance will be held on august 20 2010. the venue must be available to begin set-up on date 4 hours before doors..
sound check will be available for touring acts only no later than 1 hour prior to doors opening

Merchandise..... etc..
