Default "in park after hours" summons (Central State)

hello all....i'm not even sure where to begin, this is such an oddball case. I was issued a $50 ticket for being in a park after hours. The old Central State Hospital grounds in marion county is a large park with an intermittant fence. There was an IMAX movie made about hauntings and the supernatural on these grounds. My friends and I went to see the movie but could not get tickets. It was widely publicized that after the movie there would be bus tours at night immediately after the movie through the grounds. Since we missed the movie my firends decided to drive through the park to look at the old buildings. Previously I had been on the grounds at night as many others have to. Cops are always in the park but never bother anyone. The main road through the park at the time had no gates or signage stating that it was a park or what the hours were. A cop stopped our vehicle and gave each of us a $50 ticket for being "in park after hours." I of course contested the ticket and was given a slip of paper saying that my court date and information would be mailed to me....it never was. Instead I got a summons to appear in court. They are now suing me for damages of $2500. I find this absolutely ridiculous and need to find a lawyer. I am supposed to respond to the summons but am not sure how since it needs to be in a special legal format.....please help. Any insight into what I can expect or any suggestions about lawyers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I can understand this is a frustrating situation for you. You can certainly find more information about an attorney through the attorney locator service on LawInfo's home page at: http://www.lawinfo.com/. Some do offer free consultations.
