i just turned 14, on the 31st. i'm wondering when i'm allowed to move with my mother who lives in New Jersey.
she told me i could choose right now..but she hasn't said really anything about it.
so, how would i choose? like, what would i have to do to move with my mother?

I'm afraid that your mother is mistaken. Until you hit 18, you live where ever your legal guardian (I'm assuming your dad?) allows you to live. If your guardian allows you to move, you can. If they don't, you can't. Even if they allow you to move, they can order you to return at any time, and they will have the law and the courts on their side. The other option is for mom to go to court and ask to become your primary custodial parent (she'd ask a court to order that you live with her instead of wherever you are now).

I agree with aardvarc. If your parents agree that you can live with your mom you can, otherwise she will need to go to court to have it court ordered.
