Hello there to all, I have been working at a chiropractors office since Feb 2009. On Jan 2009 he purchased that practice from another Doctor. From the very beginning he was having issues on paying me. He would talk to me and I worked with him. I would allow for him to pay me 3 wks late, due to the fact that I didnt have many responsibilities then. There was a time where he was up to date with my checks but that only lasted about 2 months. Ever since July 2010 he has been taking more than a month to pay me. I literally have to ask him to pay me and all he tells me is "im working on collecting" "im working on it" or "i will work on it." I have been ruining my credit and falling behind on all my stuff because of him delaying to pay me. I understand his financial situation but I have never failed him at work and I know I deserve to get paid on time my full amount of hrs. I have a payment due this Wednesday and my phone is past due and I told him I need it and he just seems so careless and passive about it. I feel bad about having to take legal actions but I just can't deal with this. IM DESPERATE for help. Please if anyone can give me advice on what I should do, i would appreciate it so much!! Thanks!!

Have you browsed through the information in LawInfo's Free Legal Resource Center to learn more about your issue yet? See: http://www.lawinfo.com/consumer.html and http://resources.lawinfo.com/en/index.html. You can certainly try to speak to a lawyer to determine what legal options may be available. In the meantime, you may be able to learn more on your own. Search the "Free Legal Resources" tab, or browse the Consumer Resources. Good luck.
