As an architect I worked with an investment group to design a spec home but the group disbanded after the plans were submitted for permit. I was told the group had an LLC but it turns out that was never the case. Only one of the former 'partners' signed my contract but I worked with the entire group including the property owner for 6 months. Can I file a mechanics lien on the property for the $25000 balance of the architectural contract?
