I am currently 5.5 months into my 1 year lease. I have been offered a job (apartment managing) that requires me to move (I will be the onsite mgr) and thus break my lease.

My quandry: The lease agreement states the term is one year from 6/15/06 to 6/15/07, there is no stated provision for early termination, and no lease break fee. There is provision for 30 day intent to vacate only when the agreement becomes a month to month agreement.

I have never signed a lease agreement that didn't have a penalty for lease break.

I would first check to see if your state has information regarding renter's rights. The answer may be there. You can always try to speak with your landlord to see if they would be willing to work with you. Good luck.
