I have been researching the Louisiana Department of Education regarding their Anti Nepotism Policy. The Acadia Parish School District has been practicing Nepotism in their hiring of certificated staff. I personally applied for several certificated positions, which I hold a Clear Life credential for, and at lease two of the positions were filled by relatives of employees of the district. The director of personell hired her daughter-in-law for one of the positions and then hired the cousin of the principal for another position. I discussed this with the board member over the schoold involved, the president of the school board and the superintendent, all of Acadia Parish Schools. I've even called the state superintendent of schools to request a copy of the Code of Ethics regarding Nepotism and I was told that that informtion was not available and that I would have to discuss that with the state legislators... HELP!!!
