My son is 16 years old and so is his girlfriend. They had a baby he is 6 months old now. The mother kicked the baby and daughter out of her home 4 months ago. She lives with me now with my grandson. Her mom and dad lives 1 street ahead of us and has nothing to do with her or my grandson. She called her mom and asked for help with school clothes and school supplies and her mother refused to help at all. I have provided everything for this girl. I am on a tight income and I cant afford to buy her school clothes and supplies. I was wondering if she can apply for welfare benefits in Fl at 16 years old. Her mom also told her if we take her out of county she will have us arrested what can I do? Im totally lost Please help. We also just found out that dad has been receiving public assistance for the daughter and my grandson almost 600 a month in foodstamps.
